What is a PPF Calculator?

The PPF calculator is used to check how much interest you will earn on your Public Provident Fund scheme investment. The current PPF interest rate is 7.1% per annum. Also, you can invest a minimum of ₹500 and a maximum of ₹1,50,000 per year. In addition, the PPF scheme duration is from 15 to 50 years. It means you need to invest your money for at least 15 years, and then you can withdraw the amount.

How to Use the PPF Calculator?

  1. Firstly, enter the yearly investment amount. As per the scheme rule, you can only enter the amount between ₹500 to ₹1,50,000.
  2. Now use the slider to choose the investment time period. By default, it is set to a minimum of 15 years. But you can change it as needed.
  3. As we discussed before, the latest PPF rate is 7.1% p.a. So, we have already set the interest rate to 7.1% and you don't need to change it.
  4. Lastly, just click on the "Calculate" button. That's all.
  5. As a result, you can see the total invested amount, interest, and maturity value on your screen.
  6. Also, you can use the "Reset" button to refresh the calculator and start a new calculation.
